Well I did some research and I was hoping for something odd or interesting…nope….. it’s just someone from Indiana.
Many of our trips from Florida to Illinois have been spent on I65 in Indiana Over the years I have developed a curiosity for some of the things I have seen along the way. One of these is Fair Oaks Farm. For miles and miles you see billboards of advertising. OK I will admit it I have a fascination with Farms in general. More on that later.
So I finally talk or shame Fred on stopping. Of course I wanted to do the Dairy and the Pig tour. I didn’t want to press my luck with Fred so we did the Dairy tour with the promise that we can come back for the pig tour. They loaded us on a smallbus with 30 Hispanic first graders. It was very interesting, have you ever seen a milking parlor? (think Merry-go-round for cows) and a calf being born? OK let’s just say Fred got a badge of honor. I redeemed myself with a grilled cheese sandwich and homemade ice cream.

Needless to say Fred was glad to see the Caboose RV resort. Oh….. Americana at it’s best. We always love to tour the little farm towns and this one did not disappoint. Check out the no smoking sign at the local bar! You can’t make this stuff up.
Next up…….Zac Brown Band Concert in Noblesville Indiana.
