The Great Debate…Which is Better?

Niagara Falls is divided into the US Falls and the Canadian Falls, depending on what your passport says you might just be bias. Well there are some pro’s and con’s.

The US side is in the state park so it is not commercial. It has great bike trails and green space. You can also get closer to the water and they have a trolley that goes through the park.

Here are some interesting facts about the US falls – they are actually 2 separate falls.

Yes I actually took this picture!

And info on the Canadian Falls.

So you can see from the stats that the Horseshoe/Canadian falls are twice as big as the US falls.

There is a great trail that winds along the water.

At the end of the trail is another interesting attraction.

Whirlpool State Park is a 109-acre state park located in Niagara County, New York, north of the city of Niagara Falls. The park overlooks the Niagara Whirlpool on the Niagara River and the lower Niagara Gorge.

One of the tourist attractions at the falls is the Maid of the Mist, a boat tour that takes you by the falls.

We knew it was going to be a cattle call.

But when in Rome you have to do some things.

But you do get some incredible views that you can’t see any other way.

After we dried off from out boat ride we took our bikes over the bridge to the Canada side to them from a different view.

The bike riding was difficult to weave through the tourists and the tour buses. There were hotels and casinos right next to the falls but the views are beautiful – just not the setting. The best site was when we got back.

Hey you guys (paws up) where did you go?

Next up we travel northeast to Bar Harbor Maine.
